Vintage garnet bangle with an oval center stoneThis bangle is set with 35 genuine facetted rosecut garnets surrounding an oval center stone measuring 0.48 x 0.4 inch. The size of center medal is 0.7 inch high and 1.7 inch wide (see picture).It is set in the old alloy \'Tombak\' with a rosegoldplating like it was usually made in these days. The bangle is made of two halves that can be openedand closed with a failsafe box claspThe bangle measures 2.5 inch x 2.2 inch.(This would be similar to a bracelet of 7 1/4 inchesi.e. a normal wrist diameter for a lady )The weight is 19.0 grams.The size of the bangle can be seen on the last picture where I added an inch ruler and a coin to compare with. Your jewel comes decorated in a beautiful jewel box._ This is huge old stock from a retired garnet wholesaler where I found many old garnet pieces in a forgotten attic. These old garnet jewels were made after WW2. The garnets are set in \'Tombak\' also called \'garnet gold\' (similar to \'Pinchbeck\') a base metal withrosegoldplating like it was usual in those days. All stones are genuine natural garnets.The larger stones sometimes may have small natural inclusionsthat can be seen with a loupe if you hold it against the lightbut not withthe naked eye or when you wear it.
