# Vintage garnet bangle with an oval center stone

This bangle is set with genuine 14 rosecut garnets surrounding a oval garnet of 0.5” x 0.4 inch. The garnet set medal on top is 0.75 inch wide and 0.65 high.The bangle is set in the old alloy \'Tombak\' with a rosegoldplating like it was usually made in these daysand a socalled ”Vienna engraving” all around. The bangle is made of two halves that can be openedand closed with a failsafe box clasp and a safety hook. The bangle measures 2.5 inch x 2.2 inch.(This would be similar to a bracelet of 7 1/2 inchesi.e. a normal wrist diameter for a lady )The weight is 14.3 grams.The size of the bangle can be seen on the last picture where I added an inch ruler and a coin to compare with. Your jewel is shipped in a beautiful bangle jewel box.This is old stock from a retired garnet wholesaler where I found many old garnet pieces in a forgotten attic. These old garnet jewels were made after WW2. The garnets are set in \'Tombak\' also called \'garnet gold\' (similar to \'Pinchbeck\') a base metal withrosegoldplating like it was usual in those days. All stones are genuine natural garnets.
